Learning through the joy and adventure of hands-on play. We strive to create experiences that make children feel supported and excited to go to school.
Grace Lutheran Church Preschool is an outreach program of Grace Lutheran Church of Lily Lake and reflects the mission statement of “Sharing God’s Grace with all through our rich traditions of faith, family and community.” As an Outreach Ministry, we serve families in our Grace Church congregation, Lily Lake, St. Charles, Elburn and surrounding communities. We follow the District 301 school calendar. The program offers a caring, nurturing, faith based and safe environment for your child. While your child is at Grace's Preschool they are learning through play in a fun and engaging way. Children have the opportunity to learn about Jesus, strengthen social and emotional skills and other developing skills such as letter, number, color, and shape recognition as they learn through play and grow in faith. Our teachers are Red Cross certified in child CPR & First Aid.
Parent/guardians register their child to attend for the entire program year, on Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning on Monday, September 8, 2025 and ending on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Our program runs from 9:15am - 1:15pm and is a mixed age program for children ages 3 to 5. Children bring their own snack and lunch. Children must be toilet trained.
In the Fall of 2026, we will be opening up a 2's program on Tuesdays from 8:45am - 10:45am; children bring their own water bottle and snack. Children do not need to be toilet trained and should wear a pull-up. This program will be focusing on social-emotional growth and independence in a Christian setting. The 2 hour class time will consist of a story, short circle time filled with songs and games, free choice play, snack time and a bible craft. Stay tuned for more information!
A typical daily schedule for our current 3-5 year old program includes:
* Circle Time which includes songs/finger plays, calendar & weather, question of the day and a story
* Using a multi-sensory approach (kinesthetic, auditory and visual), children are introduced through games and songs to a new capital and lowercase letter every week
* Patterns, Shapes, Colors and Number Sense are included in classroom games, circle time, science table, etc.
* Indoor and/or Outdoor Gross Motor Time
* Snack and Lunch (students bring their own)
* Craft and Journal
* Music & Dance
* Cooperative Free Play: sensory table, dramatic play station, science table, play kitchen, small manipulatives, free art and library
* Bible Lesson
Tuition is: $244/month for Mondays and Wednesdays. Tuition is due by the 10th of each month. Payments may be made in cash or by check payable to Grace Lutheran Church of Lily Lake.
